Biography:
Bruce E. Buchanan is the founding partner at Sebelist Buchanan Law PLLC with offices in Nashville and Atlanta, where he represents employers in immigration law, with a special emphasis on employer immigration compliance, individuals seeking asylum, naturalization, fiancé visas, DACA, and family-based green cards, and employers on FMLA, NLRB, and FLSA matters. He is also Of Counsel to Siskind Susser for employer immigration matters. Mr. Buchanan received his law degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1982 and served as a senior trial specialist for the NLRB for 20 years. From 1991 to 2003, he served as an Adjunct Professor at William H. Bowen UALR School of Law. He entered private practice in 2003 and formed his law firm in 2016. Mr. Buchanan is the co-author of the book, The I-9 and E-Verify Handbook (2d ed.), and authors his blog on employer immigration compliance on Twitter - @buchananvisalaw. Mr. Buchanan is a member of AILA’s Verification and Documentation Committee. He is also the editor of the 11th Circuit summary published quarterly and the Labor & Employment newsletter issued by the TBA. He is a frequent speaker on employer immigration compliance at conferences for SHRM, AILA, American Payroll Association, Associated General Contractors (AGC), and TBA. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and Arkansas as well as the following Circuit Court of Appeals: 5th, 6th, 8th, and D.C
