Kristina Pishock will review some of the major Medicare updates in the Code of Federal Regulations for the 2021 calendar year. Items that will be addressed include updates to the Outpatient Protective Payment System and Ambulatory Surgery Center reimbursement for hospitals; the level of supervision changes for non-physician practitioners; and new COVID-19 and respiratory illness reporting requirements. Lastly, Pishock will provide updates to the Hospital Star Rating Methodology, the Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting Program, and the Ambulatory Surgical Center Quality Reporting Program.

Kristina Pishock has more than 15 years’ experience in the medical and pharmaceutical industry, including seven years in a regulatory and compliance capacity. For over five years, she was the Facility Compliance and Privacy Officer for a regional shared-services center that served 25 hospitals in five states, where she investigated more than 1,000 compliance and privacy events. Pishock earned a bachelor’s degree with Honors from De Sales University in Pennsylvania and has certifications in Healthcare Compliance, Medical Coding, and Physician Practice Management. She is currently an independent Healthcare Compliance and Privacy Consultant.
